HAPPY BIRTHDAY NING!



ah well, this is the best you'd look when you have chocolate cake on your face... haha, yesterday was 6B05's first ever class gathering/barbeque and it happened on the eve of jianning's birthday, so we thought a cake would be appropriate, in jianning's face of course. i guess, on an overall the barbeque was fun, although we had some problems getting a fire started in the beginning. the most popular food item that night was marshmallows for some reason, food wastage was high really high too, although i'm probably the only one who realised, as the rest of the people who were clearing up were already high....



as the night went on, we were all sitting around, taking photos, talking, and due to the fact that there was a bottle of vodka, the people who were still around started drinking. the photo above was taken after lionel's 3rd or 4th(not really sure) cup of vodka/lime when he wasn't talking/walking/looking straight anymore.. people on the list of high/drunk/giddy people included cecilia, lionel, xiurong, ning and i have my suspicions about kenny and mavis as well..... the sight of drunk people staggering off hand in hand was just too moving, i couldn't help laughing my ass off... well, putting those drunk or high people on a cab wasn't an easy chore too, but one i finally managed to do with the help of kenny... regretfully i don't have more photos, but i'll get some more soon! haha.... i really hope everyone had fun yesterday night, and that at least our class is a little bit closer now....

Flash From The Past!
haha.... i guess things just tend to happen together for some reason (or the higher power of the universe who's controlling the rules of a thing called Fate.) Got a message yesterday night enquiring about the time of a certain flight that was leaving singapore today. Had no idea that flea was leaving for taipei today, but people seem to think i do. I don't blame them i guess, after all i was like a shadow in her life for a period of time, thus making me a logical person to contact in such an event. Well, i'm no longer that person, and never will be again. The funny thing was that i happened to be in Tampines today(yes, its far from jurong, i know), and was wondering who i'd bum into. Got messages from 2 other persons that i couldn't help linking back to flea, who's leaving on the flight to taipei.

enough of that, i shall procede to complain about a very very hectic week. i don't know why, but i always feel busy... no time for anything... take today for example, class started at 8, meaning i had to wake up at 6.30, such an unholy hour to be off your bed! after finishing class at 11, flunking my mobile robotics test, had lunch and it was attending Starhub's Roadshow training at 12 to 1... immediately after i rushed down for an appointment at tampines, meeting the 'client' for our CMP project. took an hour and a half to reach the place at 2.30 pm. after the meeting, which resulted in me having an information overload, i had to rush over to IMM to buy food with the class's "management team", namely me, lionel, xiurong and ning... took a cab home, dragging loads of food with us, and kinda stoned in this very room which i type this entry till 10.30 when ning and lionel (xiurong didn't come over) went home...

that, my friends, is what you call a full day.

and to think i have a mrsh test breathing down my neck, due for tomorrow, and also SM tutorial from hell!

sigh..... with an addition of Market Research report, index survey, sales manager interview, and loads more others, i'm amazed and amused by the fact that i'm still alive, but i guess i'm no longer kicking vigorously.

spastic kid... yeah, kinda blur but thats desmond.. and dear all, THAT is the result of smoking shishak!

kinda started off my sunday late, only waking up at 1.30pm, but i guess that's kinda normal for most people huh?

anyways, kinda met up with des, kit, vincent a.k.a stress to chill at holland v's starbucks and as usual, we had two REALLY REALLY BORED( but none the less still very good ) guitarist, who ended up playing a ska-punk version of baa baa black sheep..... yes, i know, imagine the stares from everyone else..... thank god there wasn't alot of people at the time....  after coffee, or ginger ale in my case, we had dinner at a coffee shop around the area, and kit, and the drinkstall dude both got sprayed by a wild can of vanilla coke (warning guys, don't drink v.coke! its dangerous!!) but i guess the drinkstall dude got the most of the can on his t-shirt, the poor man... tsk tsk...

proceeded to arab street after dinner for a shishak session, and kinda regretted agreeing to choosing the spastic melon flavour..... ah well..... it ended up with strumming and singing along session by the road side sitting on a carpet, trying to get this guy (conviniently dubbed as charcoal guy) to give fresh charcoal... regretfully, i forgot to take pictures! especially of kit smoking, or (as he insist) steaming the turkish water pipe...

all in all a fun chill out session with the guys i guess.....

kinda stumbled apon the quote and started reminiscing about things of the past again..... about happier times, simpler school/love/social life, times where 10 dollars was a big deal of money, when having ATM cards were a big thing.... now we're all drinking, spending, smoking, gambling, driving/cabbing.... missed the times where i thought mac donalds rocked the entire universe....

and i think of the chances that i miss, of people i could have embraced with my heart but didn't dare too, and wonder, yet again, if i would ever repeat that mistake again?

i watched Arthur a second time! haha... well i guess it was considered free, so i don't really mind.... hmmm, i think its the first movie i've watched a second time in the cinemas for a loonnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg time... the last one i remembered was Starship Troopers..... sheesh.... well now a song from Arthur is stuck in my head, the one about going home... you guys should know which one i'm talking about if u watched it...

can't believe i ate crystal jade again... swear i'm getting sick of it.... ah well.....

went to a chalet yesterday, and inevitably when you have cars, we ended up in changi village with its usual residents... haha... the surprising thing was that i didn't stay at the chalet, and that i only drank 1 beer! to think i didn't finish it too..... ah well.... regret not touching the vodka and tequila, but i guess sometimes you just have to give and take according to the situation...

i swear i'm spending too much money all the time.... like the cab fare home yesterday, which reached 36 dollars! its bloody expensive, but its as expected for a midnight ride from changi back to jurong.... someone has to stop me lah........

haha.... we went to marche today to celebrate zhifeng's birthday, mostly b21 people, zf, jess, lyly, lisa, vi, and me being the odd one out... haha... oh well it happens.... the mushroom soup at marche still taste as good as i remember, and the rosti's just as bland.... went to catch I-Robot after that.. would just say that its quite an interesting movie, basically slightly more then your average man vs machine movie... ah well... if you wanna know more u can just visit jess's blog... since i'm too lazy to type the whole thing out... haha...

ok lets see.... i've known glor since first year, but we only got really close in the 3rd semester... this is the girl that made me start saying oh well (i'm responsible for spreading it to a few people as well) the girl that got kevin spending lots of money on baked potato and fruit tea at breko's, the girl that brought me to windsurf, and definately one of the greatest person to hug in this world... haha... shall not go too much into detail before other people start getting ideas that i'll write about them too.... it takes time to write people!!! haha... i might get down to it one day... ladida~~

today was one of those days...one of those days where you feel super duper manja/nua-ish, and just don't want to do anything except sleep or lie around? haha.... it happens to everyone i guess, just happens more for me... and strangely it happens when i get alot of work... never seems to be like that when i'm free? sigh.... IBS and SM starting to breath down my neck, and i guess its high time i shift a gear up in my working tempo... but somehow, i'm still feeling very holiday-ish.... might also be because my bro's back, just can't seem to work when there's people invading my so called private sanctuary, but i guess the room's only rightfully part of his as well, so i have to bear with it for a month or so.... everyone has to bear with me if i'm seemingly a little slack, has to do with the fact that i can't work without my room to myself, could be an excuse, probably a subconcious one, and i guess i better start producing some effective work before i lose out to the rest of the class.... ah well..... shall work hard from now on... oh ya, and stop faggin so much too!!! yup.....

Baybeats was fun! yup, kinda went to check out some bands today, quite a few local bands were playing, including Force Vomit, The Observatory and Objection Overuled, and they were quite good too....  my fav was Telebury, a malasian band, which sounded alot like Dishwalla.... haha... enjoyed myself, but kinda shagged.... coming to think of it, feel like laughing at the idiots at the arena stage trying to push people around.. as harv says "thats not how you enjoy music" but somepeople were crowd surfing (something that got stopped by the security) and that looked fun... on an overall i would have said this year's baybeats was better then the last.... i'd encourage everyone to check it out tomorrow....
 
Oh well, went to Swing yesterday, but was kinda disappointed by the band... wasn't the usual one that plays there, or maybe they're the new band? hmmm... i sure hope not, because the one before them were so much nicer.... i was kinda nua-ing as usual, but without the usual comfort of the sofa, so i had to endure the cold hard wooden chair... sigh... had to admit i didn't really have a good time, haha... sorry for suggesting swing yesterday!!

5 Stages Of Drunkenness
Stage 1 - SMART: This is when you suddenly become an expert on every subject in the known universe. You know you know everything and you want to pass on your knowledge to anyone who will listen. At this stage you are always RIGHT. And of course, the person you are talking to is very WRONG. This makes for an interesting argument when both parties are SMART.

Stage 2 - GOOD LOOKING: This is when you realize that you are the BEST LOOKING person in the entire bar and that people fancy you. You can go up to a perfect stranger knowing they fancy you and really want to talk to you. Keep in mind that you are still SMART, so you can talk to this person about any subject under the sun.

Stage 3 - RICH: This is when you suddenly become the richest person in the world. You can buy drinks for the entire bar because you have an armored truck full of money parked behind the bar. You can also make bets at this stage, because of course you're still SMART, so naturally, you will win all your bets. It doesn't matter how much you bet 'cus you are RICH. You will also buy drinks for everyone that you fancy, because you are now the BEST LOOKING person in the world.

Stage 4 - BULLET PROOF: You are now ready to pick fights with anyone and everyone, especially those with whom you have been betting or arguing. This is because nothing can hurt you. At this point you can also go up to the partners of the people whom you fancy and challenge them to a battle of wits or money. You have no fear of losing this battle, because you are smart, you're RICH and Hell, you're better looking than them anyway!

Stage 5 - INVISIBLE: This is the final stage of Drunkenness. At this point you can do anything, because NO ONE CAN SEE YOU. You dance on a table to impress the people whom you fancy, because the rest of the people in the room cannot see you. You are also invisible to the person who wants to fight you. You can walk through the street singing at the top of your lungs because no one can see or hear you - and because you're still SMART you know ALL the words.

I'm speechless, CMP is SO BORING! Just shows how much difference a lecturer has in affecting a class's mood in studying.... Can't even absorb wat he's saying. Reminds me of barney for some reason, over friendly and bubbly, full of nonsense, and highly irritating. i know its mean to say that, but theres a few evidence showing. maybe the pink background of his flash mx is doing something to make me imagine him as a purple dinosaur. sheesh.

I'm down with flu. And my response to getting sick? Retail theraphy of course! Haha... I think i've just been accepted into the "sisterhood" of all women in the world.... I'm feeling drowsy now, but at the same time i'm pretty happy for having bought something.. Think i'm a major contradiction because i'm damn sad when i saw the balance in my bank account... sigh... its a long way till the end of the month.... i need to be desuaded from taking cabs to school more often, preferbly every morning.... its hard to be poor......

i think this is the first time in my life i bought so much tidbits! the sad thing to say is that its not for me! well, at least its not my money... -munching on M&Ms- all i can comment is that all the classes in marketing are gonna be qUiTe HaPpY with their prizes..... and that we should preparefor a week ahead where everyone's having a sorethroat.... ah well... my bro's back tonight so the room's gonna get taken over for a while again... -sigh- the thing is i forgot to ask him buy liquor back for me... so sad! and he never ever buys nice stuff back anyways (can't really say i trust his taste in clothes) haha.... think he won't really get to see this so i'm pretty safe... lol... oh well.... i shall go do tutorials now...

I've always had the idea of writing a book and the best idea of a title I have had up till now, as you can guess, is After Ever After. What I had in mind was what really happens after a prince trots off with the fair princess on the beautiful white stead.....

Imagine......... Sleeping Beauty's Prince having snoring problems.... can't help but laugh....

But somehow, I've never came down to actually writing even a small bit of that book... I'll get to it eventually, say when I'm 50? haha.... I guess such a book might inevitably turn into a self help book on marriage and romance, and someone as helpless as I in the subject wouldn't have the knowledge to write it properly.. oh well...

First Entry.

Untraditionally, this blog wasn't started in a bout of melancholy like the rest of them were. But well I guess it does somewhat signify the start of another chapter of my life. The end of attachment, starting of a new semester with a new class and of course the getting over of certain past idiocy, has affected me in subtle ways. And well i'm definately getting used to singlehood again. After all i have been single for much longer then i ever was attached. Haha. I'm digressing, but that seems to be the norm in long-winded blogs, isn't it?

Guess i just couldn't resist the urge to let others view my self-musing once again.
